Koh phangan ( Phangan Island )

Koh Phangan is an island that’s world-famous for its full-moon and half-moon parties, many of which the place on its expansive beaches. Nicknamed ‘Samui’s Little Sister’, it only has about 10,000 residents but attracts around 30,000 travelers looking to enjoy the island’s hedonistic events. Koh Phangan located in the Gulf of Thailand, and is 65 kilometers from the mainland, between the two islands of Koh Samui to the south and Koh Tao to the north. It has a size of about 125 km² and is part of the Samui archipelago, a group of islands that includes another 60 islands and islets. The famous Ang Thong National Park, a popular destination for boat trips, is also located in this region. Koh Phangan is most famous for its countless paradise beaches and the unique dropout flair that can be felt almost everywhere on the island.
How to get to Koh Phangan

Koh Phangan is easily accessible by ferry. Overnight buses and trains connect land travelers to the ports at Surat Thani and further south at Don Sak, where ferries depart for Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao. Koh Phangan has no airport, so passengers flying into Samui transfer to Maenam Pier (ferry) and Bohput Pier (speedboat). Ferries from the mainland also stop at Samui’s Nathon before continuing to Koh Phangan. They usually depart at 9am and 11am every day – the traverse takes around 45 minutes.
